Scope

These terms govern use of every tool and page on HakoTools ("this site"). Using the site means accepting them.

This page is an English version of the Japanese original. Where the two are read differently, the Japanese text governs.

Using the tools

Every tool is free and open to anyone. What you enter, including files, is processed in your browser and is not transmitted to or stored on this site's servers. Theprivacy policy describes this in detail.

No warranty

Results are provided for reference. Their accuracy and completeness are not guaranteed. Figures involving money are estimates, and real amounts vary with circumstances a tool cannot know. Check anything important against an authoritative source or a qualified professional before acting on it. The operator accepts no liability for loss arising from use of this site.

Two points deserve emphasis. First, where a tool implements rules that are set by law or by a published table, a change to those rules may take time to reach the site; each page states the basis it used and when it was last updated. Second, tools that concern Japanese tax and social insurance assume ordinary circumstances and will not match a specific case.Responsibility for filings, contracts and other binding decisions rests with you and with the professionals you engage.

The tools run in your browser, so results may differ, or a tool may not work at all, depending on your browser, its version, your extensions and your device. Because nothing is stored outside your device, work cannot be recovered. Keep a copy of anything important before you process it.

What you may not do

• Interfere with the operation of the site, including automated access at a volume beyond ordinary use
• Copy, republish or redistribute the site's content (explanatory text, images, code) without permission
• Reverse-engineer the site's code in order to republish it as an equivalent service, or remove copyright and attribution notices
• Present an altered version of the site to others, or use its content in a way that suggests it is something it is not
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose

Quoting from an explanation with a clear attribution to this site is fine, within the limits that copyright law allows for quotation.

What the tools produce is yours

Anything a tool generates for you, whether a QR code, a converted image, a PDF or a calculated figure, is yours to use freely, commercially or otherwise. No permission, credit or fee is required.

This assumes you hold the rights you need in whatever you put in: the image you uploaded, the text you typed, the URL you encoded. Using material that infringes someone else's copyright, likeness or trade mark is your responsibility. The operator makes no warranty about the output and accepts no liability for loss arising from its use.

Advertising

The site carries third-party advertising, such as Google AdSense, to cover its running costs. Ads appear below the result and at the end of the explanation, never in a position that interrupts the tool. Cookies, collected information and opt-out steps are covered in theprivacy policy.

Which ads appear is decided by the ad provider, not reviewed or endorsed by the operator, who accepts no liability for dealings with advertisers.

Intellectual property

Text, images and code on this site belong to the operator or to their respective rights holders. Output produced by the tools is exempt, as set out above.

Changes and interruptions

Tools may be added, changed or withdrawn, and the site's content altered, without notice. Service may be suspended temporarily for maintenance, because of a fault, because of a problem at the hosting provider, or through events outside the operator's control. The operator accepts no liability for any resulting inconvenience.

Revisions and governing law

These terms may be revised without notice. A revision takes effect when it is published on this page, and significant changes are dated here.

These terms are governed by the law of Japan, and any dispute concerning this site is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court with jurisdiction over the operator's place of residence. If part of these terms is held invalid, the remainder is unaffected. Anything not covered here can be raised through thecontact page.
